Hi there! I’m Albania Vera, but you can just call me Vera! I already know my name and love hearing it, especially when it means someone is ready to give me attention.

My foster mom says I’m high on life, and I think that describes me perfectly! I greet everyone, humans and animals alike, with lots of enthusiasm and a wagging tail. I love to run, play, and explore, but I also have a wonderful laid-back side. In fact, while my foster mom is writing this, I’m peacefully snoozing in my open crate.

At just 35 pounds, I’m a fun-sized girl with plenty of energy and a love for adventure. I enjoy going on walks and would make a great running buddy or playmate for another energetic dog. I've even tried convincing my foster family's cat to play with me, but so far, the cat isn't quite as enthusiastic about the idea.

One of my favorite pastimes is chewing on sticks and pine cones when I'm outside. Luckily, my foster mom found me a special chew toy for indoors, and she says I get to take it to my forever home! I'm a good girl who hasn't chewed on anything I'm not supposed to.

I'm also doing great with my routine. I sleep soundly in my crate all night, although I'd prefer to be in the same room as my humans. During the day, I'm happy just being near my people, whether that means relaxing in my crate, curling up on a dog bed, or snoozing under a desk while you work.

I'm still polishing up my leash manners because walks are just SO exciting! I'm also learning my basic commands, but I'm very food-motivated, eager to please, and ready to learn.
