Join Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue for Stanley Cup & Pup, an exciting community event benefiting NRGRR. Come celebrate with fellow Carolina Hurricanes fans, bring your pup, grab a Trophy beer, enjoy some locally made ice cream, and have your photo taken with the Stanley Cup!
A huge thank you to Carolina Hurricanes Assistant Coach Jeff Daniels and his wife, Jennifer, for making this special event possible. Jeff has chosen to spend part of his time with the Stanley Cup sharing it with our community and helping raise funds for NRGRR. Jennifer has also been hard at work helping plan the event and bring everything together.
This event is especially meaningful to Jeff and Jennifer because their daughter, Jordan, adopted Penny from NRGRR’s Bourbon Litter last summer. They are now part of the NRGRR family, and we're incredibly grateful that they are turning their time with the Cup into an opportunity to help more dogs.

You do not need to have a dog to participate!
This is a community event, and everyone is welcome to come out and get a photo with the Cup — whether you have a four-legged Canes fan or not.
Please bring your own phone or camera for your Stanley Cup photo. We will have NRGRR volunteers available to take the photo using your phone or camera, or you are welcome to have a member of your group take it yourself. There will not be a professional photographer at the event.
Photos will move quickly so we can give as many people as possible an opportunity to see the Cup.

Please have your entire group together and your phone or camera ready before your turn
If an NRGRR volunteer is taking your photo, please make sure they know how your camera works before you step up
We may take a few quick shots of your pose so you have a good photo to choose from, but there won't be time for multiple poses or different group combinations
Please be prepared to move quickly when it's your turn. We only have the Cup for two hours and want to get as many people through the line as possible!

A donation is not required to get a photo with the Stanley Cup, but we hope you'll consider making a donation to Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue.
Every donation helps NRGRR rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for Golden Retrievers and Golden-hearted dogs in need.
🐾 Limited-Edition Canes Bandanas
The first 250 dogs whose families make a donation to NRGRR will receive a limited-edition Canes bandana!
So bring your pup, make a donation, and snag a special keepsake while supporting the rescue.

Absolutely!
We'd love to see your pups, but please remember that this will be a busy event with lots of people and other dogs.
Dogs attending should be:
Friendly and comfortable around people and other dogs
Socialized
Well behaved
Kept on leash
If you have any concerns about how your dog may handle a large, crowded environment, we respectfully ask that you leave your pup at home. You can still come enjoy the event, get your Stanley Cup photo and support NRGRR!
Please bring water for yourself and your dog, and dress for the weather.

There's more to enjoy than just the Cup!
Grab a beer from Trophy Brewing & Taproom and enjoy the afternoon with fellow Canes fans. A portion of beer proceeds will benefit Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue.
The ice cream truck will be serving one free ice cream scoop to the first 200 people, while supplies last, with seven flavors available. There will also be milkshakes, sundaes and other treats available for purchase.
🐾 Pup Cups: The first 100 dogs will receive a special, deluxe pup cup — while supplies last!

We'll be following the rules established by the Cup Keepers, so we'll have to see what they allow.
Dogs will not be drinking from the Cup during individual photos. However, there may be an opportunity for a group of pups to drink water from the Cup!

Registration helps us estimate attendance and make sure we have enough volunteers available to help with the event.
However, registering does NOT guarantee a photo with the Stanley Cup or a specific place in line.
This is a first-come, first-served event, and we recommend arriving early to get in line.
We'll work hard to keep the line moving quickly and accommodate as many people as possible during our two hours with the Cup.
