Pistachio is approximately 2 year old and a 45 lb mixed-breed boy looking for his forever home! We believe he may be an Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix, and he’s got an amazing combination of intelligence, athleticism, affection, and an incredibly sweet personality.

Pistachio LOVES people and is an absolute cuddle bug. He has done great with the children he’s met, although he has not been extensively tested with kids. He’s also dog-friendly and does best with respectful dogs that won’t bully him.

Pistachio has been working on manners and learning to settle in different environments rather than formal obedience. He walks beautifully on leash and typically ignores both dogs and people while walking.

One of Pistachio’s biggest strengths is how environmentally sound he is. He handles busyenvironments, concerts, fireworks, and lots of activity extremely well. He can settle even when things are going on around him—making him a great potential adventure buddy!

Pistachio has plenty of energy and would love an active home, but with daily exercise, structure, and mental stimulation, his energy is very manageable.
