Read about past Blarneys’ Fund dogs. After regaining their health, some were adopted into loving forever homes. But sadly, NRGRR had to help others cross the Bridge when it was time.
Moe24
An overcrowded shelter reached out to Neuse River hoping we could help this good boy. Within days of his initial intake exam, he became very ill and had to be admitted at the emergency vet. He had a terrible pneumonia.
Moe was adopted and is living his best life.
Moe’s vet bills totaled $8000
Henry24
Henry was sent to the shelter by his owner to be euthanized. But the shelter staff reached out to NRGRR instead and we just knew he was a special boy.
We gladly accepted him knowing a 14-year-old golden could have health issues. And boy did he! Henry became very ill after he arrived and was diagnosed with pancreatitis and a severe urinary tract infection. He also had a mass removed and the biopsy showed it was cancer.
Henry courageously fought his cancer and infections, but they took such a great toll on his body. He let his fosters know he was ready and they helped him cross the Bridge at home … with his best girl by his side.
Jordan24
NRGRR received a call about a very sick puppy that the owner wanted to surrender. We were told his litter mates had all died from Parvo. And he had many of the same symptoms. NRGRR immediately got him into the emergency vet where we found out it wasn’t Parvo. But his red blood cell count was so critically low he would not survive without a transfusion. This sweet puppy deserved a chance at a better life and thanks to Biscuit, a blood donor, our little Jordan got that chance.
Jordan was adopted and is living his best life
August24
August is a sweet senior that was surrendered to NRGRR. After receiving his initial exam his health took a serious turn and he had to be admitted to the emergency vet. A mass was found in his abdomen and we are pursuing diagnostic testing to develop a plan for is care.
August’s cancer developed quickly and we helped him cross the Bridge. His loving foster was with him.
August’s vet bills totaled over $3000
