Will is the best!  He is very well behaved in the house. Crate trained, but doesn’t need the crate.  He has had run of the house with his foster.  If he isn’t sleeping he will find a window to look out and see what is going in the world (and try to spot potential dog friends!).  

Sometimes he likes to snuggle close to his people, other times he chooses to find his own spot to sleep or chew on a toy.  Before he came back to NRGRR, he also loved to snuggle and play with his Golden brother.

Will LOVES to go on walks to explore the neighborhood.  If he doesn’t have a fenced yard, he likes 4-5 walks a day.  He does need some additional leash training.  He will pull sometimes, and other times just walks by your side.  He will want to meet most people and other dogs, and is working on paying attention to his foster dad instead.  Will came back to NRGRR because he was on a walk one day and when a stranger approached him and reached out to pet him, Will bit the strangers hand.  Not hard enough to break skin, but enough to cause his previous family to be concerned about this happening with friends of their children even though this was the first time this happened in the year Will was with them.

The ideal home for Will is one where his people are around most of the time (he is fine when left alone though) and he has a dog brother or sister that will want to play and snuggle with him.   A fenced yard would be nice, but is not a “must have” if Will has another dog to play with and gets several long walks each day.  While he is well behaved, Will needs a strong, experienced leader to make sure he continues to be the best dog he can be.
