Snowball is a 1-year-old (possibly Great Pyrenees mix, though he’s a dead ringer for a polar bear) with a lanky build and the kind of soft, expressive eyes that melt hearts instantly. At 58 lbs (with a healthy goal of about 65 lbs), he’s still filling out his frame—but his loving personality and goofy puppy charm are already fully grown.

Found wandering alone on a busy road, Snowball has overcome a rough beginning (including neck wounds that have now healed completely). Despite that start, he is nothing but joy, affection, and optimism. He adores people and forms strong bonds with his human—true Velcro dog energy. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if he gently leans in, dramatically flops over, or rolls belly-up for rubs, often with perfect comedic timing.

Snowball is housebroken, sleeps soundly through the night, and has been working hard on his manners. He’s incredibly smart and eager to learn, already knowing several commands and tricks (including sit, wait, lie down, leave it, drop it, heel, come, and an impressive play dead). He loves retrieving balls and sticks and approaches everything with an endearing, puppy-brained enthusiasm that turns ordinary moments into daily entertainment.

An athletic boy at heart, Snowball thrives with daily walks and activities that help burn off his youthful energy. He’s still polishing his leash skills and can get excited by passing trucks, joggers, scooters, and squirrels—but with continued positive reinforcement, he’s showing great progress. Because of his size and strength, he’ll do best with a confident adopter who enjoys training and can guide him kindly and consistently. 

Snowball would love a home with another playful, confident dog who can match his energy and enjoy romping together. He can clear fences at 42–48 inches, so a secure yard or structured exercise routine is important for his safety and success.

At his core, Snowball is a sweet, affectionate, loyal companion who just wants to be near his people, be part of the fun, and make you smile every single day. With love, structure, and continued training, he’s going to be an incredible lifelong partner.
