Sally
Age: 5 yr
Weight: 63 lb
Hi! My name is Sally. My foster mom tells me all the time she can’t believe how lucky she got. I’m not quite sure what she means—I was just ready to be warm, loved, happy, and to have friends to play with. It all felt perfect to me.
I’m a creature of habit and absolutely love my morning walks. I walk well on a leash, though I may need a little guidance now and then because I like to zig and zag wherever the good smells take me. I’m strong, but I don’t pull and I don’t react to anything we encounter on our walks.
I’m fully house-trained and have never had an accident indoors. At night, I sleep in my crate, and when my foster mom tells me it’s bedtime, I hop off her bed, open the crate door with my nose, and tuck myself right in. I love treats and always take them very gently. I know basic commands like sit and paw, and because I’m a smart girl, I’d love to learn even more. My foster mom says I have those eyes that stare right into your soul—and once that happens, humans are completely smitten.
My ideal home would have a fenced yard, daily walks, and a furry friend to play with. While I know some commands, I’m still learning come. I don’t bolt out the door when people come and go, but I do love being outside and would happily spend time roaming and sniffing around if given the chance. I haven’t shown any signs of reactivity at all.
I’m very polite with food and toys. Once my foster brother grabbed a treat I dropped right in front of me, and I simply walked away and gave my foster mom my sweet eyes—she happily gave me another. I love playing with my foster sister, and we spend our days playing, napping, and then playing some more. I really enjoy gentle companions who match my calm energy.
My foster mom has giant teenage boys, and I do wonderfully with them, but I love kids of all ages. I’ve been in busy, chaotic household situations with lots of people around, and I just go with the flow—it’s simply my nature. I’d likely do fine with cats, too, since I tend to ignore other animals and mind my own business. You won’t get a chase out of me.
I’m so smart that sometimes I’ll look straight into my human’s eyes and “talk” to them. You may not always understand what I’m saying—but sometimes, you just might.
If you’re looking for a smart, gentle, sweet, and loving companion… well, get in line—because I deserve only the very best. 💕🐾
