Puddin
Age: 8 yr
Weight: 60 lbs
Puddin is a dog whose sweetness is obvious almost immediately. She can be shy when meeting someone new, but she warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, curious companion who loves being around her people. She is incredibly gentle in everything she does, even when she is excited or playing with her toys, and she has a calm, thoughtful way about her that makes her so easy to be around.
That does not mean Puddin is boring, though! She has the cutest bursts of excitement, especially when you come home. She will greet you with her little hops, wagging tail, and huge smile like seeing you again is the best thing that has happened all day. She walks well on a leash and loves her walks, sniffing around and exploring. She likes car rides, stuffed animals, lots of pets and rubs, and spending time with people she trusts.
At home, Puddin is happy just being wherever you are. If you are relaxing in the living room, working, or watching TV, she is content to find a comfortable spot nearby and keep you company. She can also handle being home alone and is very well behaved. She does not get into things and will usually just relax and nap until you return. Still, Puddin would be happiest in a home where she gets plenty of companionship and is treated like a true member of the family.
She is also wonderfully easy to care for around the house. Puddin is house-trained, has a simple bathroom routine, and will let you know if she needs to go out. She also loves spending a little time outside simply sitting in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying the fresh air. Because she enjoys exploring and following interesting smells, she should be kept on a leash, or in a secure fenced yard so she does not wander. She is not a jumper, so a 4-5 foot fence would be sufficient.
More than anything, Puddin is looking for someone who wants a best friend. She is gentle, affectionate, funny, fluffy, and full of quiet little moments that make you smile. She does not need constant excitement. She just wants a person or family who will include her, spend time with her, and enjoy having one very happy girl by their side.
