Marina
Age: 11 wks
Weight: 12 lb
Marina is a 11-week-old mixed-breed pup with a silky, longer coat that’s as soft as it looks—and yes, that beautiful fluff will come with some shedding! Her mom is about 32 lbs, so we expect Marina to grow into a lovely medium-sized dog.
This sweet girl has been thriving in her foster home with kids, where she’s fully embraced her role as the ultimate family sidekick. She’s been a proud “cheerleader” at baseball games, a dedicated audience member for band practice, and—most importantly—a world-class cuddle buddy. If you’re sitting down, there’s a very good chance Marina will be right there with you, soaking up the love.
Marina is already off to a great start with her routine. She sleeps in a crate in her foster’s bedroom and is doing well settling at night. Like many puppies her age, she may wake briefly, but she settles back down and goes right back to sleep. She’s also making steady progress with potty training and understands that after naps, it’s straight outside for a potty break.
Personality-wise, Marina has a fun, expressive side—she’s not shy about using her voice when she wants something! She absolutely loves other dogs, especially the big ones, and jumps right into playtime with confidence. Whether she’s chasing them or being chased, she’s all in. She also enjoys a good game of fetch and is great at entertaining herself when her humans are busy.
Like many young puppies, Marina is still learning about handling and personal space. She may resist being picked up or moved when she’s not ready, especially if she’s comfortable or engaged in something. With continued positive reinforcement and gentle, consistent guidance, she’s already learning that handling leads to good things and will continue to grow more comfortable over time.
She’s been introduced to the resident cat and has shown curiosity without any barking—she seems more interested in figuring out how to make a new friend than anything else.
Marina is the perfect mix of playful, affectionate, and independent. With continued consistency in training and lots of love, she’s going to make an incredible addition to a lucky family.
