This adorable 5-year-old female Goldendoodle is the total package: loving, loyal, gentle and just the right amount of silly. She’s looking for a home where she can be close to her people, soak up affection, and maybe keep an eye on a few squirrels along the way.

She’s incredibly sweet with both kids and adults, though she can be a little shy at first, especially around men.  Children should be old enough to understand that she does not like sudden movements or being chased.  She likes to be approached slowly and calmly, otherwise,  she will run to her safe space.  Give her a little time, and she’ll warm up into the affectionate, devoted companion she truly is. Her favorite thing in the world? Her humans. While she gets along well with other dogs and enjoys greeting and occasionally playing with them, her heart belongs to her people.

She’s calm and easygoing around the house, but outside on a leash, she can get very excited, especially if she spots a squirrel or another dog. She’s extremely strong and can pull hard, so continued leash training will be important. The good news is that she’s already making progress, and with consistency, she’ll keep improving. She absolutely loves walks (especially trail walks) and would thrive with someone committed to helping her build her leash skills.  Margaux would enjoy a fenced in backyard where she can chase squirrels, but if you are willing to devote plenty of time to walking, she will be fine without a fenced yard.

She is fully house trained and has learned to stay off furniture, but if you’re open to sharing a little couch time, she would be thrilled. She especially loves having a cozy perch (like a Nugget cushion) by a front window where she can relax and watch the world go by.

She is not crate trained and does not do well in a crate. She needs to sleep in the same room as her person or persons, this is a must.  She is totally happy to room with an adult or a child.
