Luca is a charming 6-year-old red golden retriever from Albania who, through no fault of his own, lost his only loving family and ended up on the streets for months. This handsome boy is smart and well-behaved. He is housetrained and already knows commands like sit, come, right paw and left paw. Although he is not a fan of the crate, he loves the freedom to roam and relax on the couch. Luca is trustworthy as long as there are no tempting food items within his reach. He can be vocal when he wants something and will scratch at the door when he wants to go outside. He loves to chew on sticks and loves Kong-like toys.

This lovable pup thrives in the company of another dog, enjoying the camaraderie and playfulness that comes with having a furry friend. Luca is also a social butterfly who adores attention from other people and will happily soak up all the love he can get. He is also a leaner and will bury his head into your heart.

His favorite activities include several short walks where he can explore and sniff the world, making him an easy walk who will stay by your side. He also loves car rides with the windows down and visiting new places. Luca is always up for an adventure!

Luca enjoys being outside, sitting and watching his domain, and taking in the sights and smells so a fenced in yard is preferred. He also has a strong prey drive for squirrels. Due to his size and tendency to be mouthy, he might not be the best fit for smaller children.

Bath time is a breeze with Luca. He stands patiently, enjoying the pampering and the chance to get squeaky clean and doesn’t mind if you brush his toothies! And when the day is done, Luca sleeps soundly through the night, dreaming of the next day's escapades.
