Katie Pawry
Age: 4 yr
Weight: 60 lb
Katie Pawry just turned 4 years old, but don’t let that number fool you—her joy, enthusiasm, and playful spirit will have you convinced she’s still a puppy. She’s a stunning black Great Pyrenees mix (she has been DNA tested) with a thick, shiny coat and a heart that’s even more beautiful than she is. Katie absolutely adores people and other dogs, greeting everyone with excitement and warmth. She’ll adorably welcome you home with a toy of her choosing in her mouth and she often will lean into you to show you just how much she loves affection.
Katie is the perfect balance of playful and snuggly. She has played endlessly with her foster siblings and fetched a tennis ball until her foster parent’s arm was sore. She has been wonderful with other dogs in the home both male and female alike. She shares toys happily, loves to rough house in the yard, and is quickly comfortable with fellow dogs and newly met foster family members.
True to her Great Pyrenees roots, she’s protective and takes her job seriously—keeping an eye on things and barking at strangers outside the window. She’s also hilariously stubborn in the most endearing way: if she doesn’t want to do something, she’ll dramatically flop onto her back and refuse to budge. Katie isn’t shy to tell you what she does or doesn’t want to do, however with a consistent routine, her foster parents saw her quickly become receptive to training and directions.
This girl craves a deep, meaningful bond with her forever family. Katie would thrive with someone looking for a true “soul dog”—a companion who wants to engage daily, follow a consistent and structured routine, and enjoy training, enrichment, and lots of shared fun. With the right home, Katie Pawry will be endlessly loyal and full of personality—an unforgettable dog who will make the perfect addition to a loving household.
