Holland is a big, beautiful golden retriever with a heart just as large as his 117‑pound frame. This gentle giant has a sweet, easygoing nature and loves nothing more than carrying his favorite ball everywhere he goes—or convincing someone to throw it for him again and again. He’s wonderful with other dogs and children, making him an ideal family companion. With his larger size small kids might not be the best fit.  Holland prefers not to be crated, though he can be coaxed in with a treat and a little patience. His favorite place in the world is right beside his person, faithfully following them from room to room. Because he’s working on shedding some extra weight, Holland will need regular exercise and a strict diet to help him feel his best. With the right home, he’ll be a loyal, loving friend who brings warmth and joy to every day.
