Are you looking for your dream dog? Well, here I am!

I was found on the streets of Albania and taken to a local rescue before my journey here. My rescuers think I was an abandoned pet (as opposed to a street dog), and it became rapidly clear when I arrived at my foster mom’s house that I had enjoyed “inside” life before.

My foster mom says I am calm, sweet, affectionate, and gentle. I love being pet and will give you “the paw” if you stop petting me before I’m ready.

I don’t love to be crated, but I will reluctantly go in if you toss some tasty treats in there first. I can grumble a bit, but I do settle down quickly. My foster mom has also left me free in the house on some short errands, and I was trustworthy.

I get along with kids and other dogs. I don’t pay much attention to the young kids in my foster home (ages 6 & 4) but I’m very gentle and compliant when they are giving me attention. My foster home also has two goldens. I’m very dog-savvy and I sometimes enjoy an evening play session with them, but I’d also be totally fine being an only dog.

I like going for walks and I get excited when the leash comes out. I’m pretty good at walking, but I can pull a little if I see/smell something exciting. I don’t need a fenced in backyard as long as I’m getting walks! I’m also housetrained, but my recall isn’t perfect yet (especially if I found a nice spot to sun myself), so if you don’t have a fence, you might want to use a leash during my bathroom breaks.

I’m still learning English, so my adoptive family will have to continue to work on commands. I’m very food motivated, so I’m easily taught! Speaking of being food motivated, I have been known to put my front paws on the counters to sniff the good things up there. My foster mom has been teaching me “off”, but my new home will probably need to remind me I’m supposed to keep all four paws on the ground!

I’m so excited to be someone’s pet again. I missed inside life and having people dote on and love me. I can’t wait to meet my new family!
