Allow me to introduce you to Grey, a beautiful purebred red Golden Retriever who is searching for his forever home for the holidays! 

At just 2 years old, Grey has already managed to capture the hearts of everyone he meets with his gentle and shy demeanor.  He is quite the social butterfly and loves meeting everyone he sees. Grey has the most endearing “meet and greet “ style by getting down low and patiently waits for you to approach.  Then, he will adorably army-crawls forward to show other dogs and people that he is friendly and non-threating.  Although he can be timid and nervous in new situations, his true personality shines through once he feels comfortable and safe.

Grey's favorite spot in the world is his crate, where he can retreat and find comfort whenever he feels overwhelmed. He is also a master collector, hoarding all sorts of items- like toys, shoes, blankets, towels, pillows, remote control and anything within reach- and brings them into his crate.  He is also an expert toy de-stuffer.  

Despite his initial shyness, Grey has a playful spirit that comes alive when he's around another friendly dog. He loves to play and interact with his furry friends and is always eager to join in on the fun. He also has a high prey drive for squirrels.  He is very enthusiastic about his walks and learning to walk calmly.    

Because Grey adores his people a little too much and is always seeking attention by jumping and giving gentle nibbles (something we are currently working on), older kids would be best.  He is housetrained and has never had an accident 

Grey's ideal forever home would be one where he can continue to find comfort in his crate, play with other dogs, and be surrounded by loving people who understand his shy nature. He needs a family who will give him the time and patience to adjust to new situations and help him feel safe and secure.
