Meet George! George is a 4-year old purebred Golden Retriever. Once upon a time, this very handsome guy thought that the great outdoors (the fenced backyard) was the only place he belonged. He spent all of his time outside alone or in his crate. But then he discovered something even better…PEOPLE, LOVE, COUCHES, BELLY RUBS AND DOG FRIENDS! 

Now he’s completely devoted to his humans and has become the ultimate people pleaser. He is the sweetest, most loving gentlemen! If you’re happy, he’s happy! If you need a best friend, he’s already signed up. If you say, “Who’s a good boy?”...well, he will be right there accepting his reward. 

He is:

-incredibly sweet and loving

-loyal to a fault to his people 

-a total people pleaser

-a professional snuggler and best friend

-absolutely loves other dogs and even cats

This boy is happiest when he has another dog to keep him company and at least one person around most of the time. And by “around” we mean he’d prefer to be approximately no more than 2 inches away at all times! George is a bit clingy, but honestly, can you blame him? When you’re this sweet, you need to be close enough to make sure your humans are doing ok! He can be a little jumpy around certain unexpected noises and is still getting used to car rides, but give him some reassurance and patience, and you’ll see the incredibly loving boy underneath.

George has endless love to give, and he’s ready to find the people who will love him right back. He is not looking for a home where he’ll spend his days alone - he wants to run and play with a fun, friendly dog friend and be part of the family…right in the middle of all the love and action. He’s traded in his outdoor adventures for the good life, and now he's ready for his forever family.
