Meet Emerald – your missing piece! 

Emerald’s favorites, in no particular order, include “helicopter-ing” with her big, fluffy squeaky toys, gnawing on a bone, playing tug-of-war which she always wins, belly rubs, sniffing while on her walks, and every human ever!!! Her guilty pleasure is bringing her human items she knows do not belong to her (shoes, remotes, etc.) until you give her the attention she’s been craving! Don’t worry, she’s never chewed and is happy to drop them after you’ve given her enough laughs and attention to her liking.

She is the sweetest and easiest girl you will ever meet. She is fully house-trained (no accidents while in foster care) and, while she is crate-trained, she prefers to stay outside of her crate proving completely trustworthy (usually just grazing on her food from the morning or sleeping by the door until her humans return…she did not display ANY destructive behaviors while in foster care). She walks well on a leash and knows her basic manners. If given the opportunity, she would love to cuddle on the couch with you while you watch TV (constant pets required). If you’re lucky, she will perform her “trust fall” exercise into your lap if she wants even more of your attention and pets!

As far as Emerald’s dream home is concerned, she would prefer a home with older or no children. While she was not cat-tested with NRGRR, we were told she lived peacefully with cats in her prior residence. As noted above, Emerald loves humans most and would prefer to be an only dog in her dream home simply because she values undivided attention above all. If introduced to other dogs, she does best with calmer dogs, and she prefers very slow introductions in which she can get lots of inquisitive sniffs in.

Emerald has so much love to give to her ‘furever’ family! She is happy just hanging out with you (and pretending to be your shadow as she follows you around the house) or playing a little rougher. She is the best girl and is completely ready to steal your heart. Is Emerald your missing piece?
