Ella is available to applicants whose applications were received on or before March 23, 2026.

Ella is a 2-year-old red Golden Retriever with a lively, engaging personality. She thrives on play—especially chasing a ball—and will happily keep the game going as long as you’re willing to throw. She does exceptionally well with other dogs in her foster home, showing a playful and slightly submissive demeanor that helps her integrate easily. She is also good with cats; while she may be curious, she respects boundaries and has previously lived successfully with a feline companion. Although there are no children in her current foster home, she has lived with children before and did well.

Ella is both house trained and crate trained, making her a great candidate for a smooth transition into a new home. She would do best in an active household that can meet her exercise needs and provide plenty of opportunities for play and engagement. She is still working on her leash manners, as she tends to get excited on walks, but she has already shown improvement when using a front-facing harness. Her future family should be prepared to continue her leash training with patience and consistency. With the right structure and activity level, Ella will be a fun, loyal, and loving addition to her forever home.
