Dylan
Age: 2 yr
Weight: 48 lb
Hi! My name is Dylan and people tell me I have the sweetest face they have ever seen! I am house-trained and love to go on walks with my foster-human. I don’t pull on my leash, but sometimes I do like to take my time and enjoy all the smells along the way. I like to explore the doggy park near my foster apartment, but haven’t met any friends there yet. When I see other pups on walks, I get excited and whine to meet them. I’m learning to play fetch, though sometimes my zoomies take over and I forget to bring the ball back. My foster mom doesn’t have any children or other animals, but I played well with my doggy friends at daycare and had a few young kiddos visit my home and liked their pets and enjoyed watching them eat their snacks. (I didn’t take the snacks though, because I’m a good boy!) I can be dog-selective and haven’t lived with children full-time, so would probably be best with older children and/or animal friends.
I love when my people are home with me and do best in a not-so-chaotic environment. I like to be close to them on the couch or lay nearby on the floor. I can entertain myself with my toys – pulling the stuffing out of stuffed toys and treat-filled kongs are my favorite!! If you’re a homebody – we will be the best of friends! I enjoy going on car rides and sometimes we even go for walks in the woods! That’s always an adventure. I don’t love my crate at the moment, but I like to learn and can be taught – especially if there are treats involved! It’s not a super big deal though, because I am trustworthy when I’m left alone. More often than not, I’ll be sleeping by the front door waiting for you to come home, on some occasions I’ll find one of my toys to chew on. I struggle a little with anxiety and can be a bit of a Velcro buddy, but with patience, some training, and treats, I’m making progress! I can follow basic instructions like sit and stay, but am working on learning other things like not jumping up on my people when I get excited. My foster mom says I’m a big ol lovebug and will give you all the kisses and cuddles in the world if you give me a peaceful, loving home to be apart of.
