Despite my majestic roots, I am also definitely loyal—what some may call a “Velcro dog.” I will stay close to your side, offering companionship and quiet devotion. My favorite pastime is reclining at the feet of my humans, keeping watch over my kingdom while they work or relax.

I adore being pampered with gentle brushings and full-body massages. Toss me a ball, and I may graciously chase it—though, as a queen, full retrieval is best left to my loyal subjects. Like any monarch, I do have a few quirks: I am wary of strangers until they have properly pledged their loyalty (a.k.a. given me time and tasty treats). But, do not expect me to bow to their outstretched hands (I only accept hands on me from my trusted human subjects.) As with many royals, I have delicate skin. My royal physicians (the vet) currently provide me with allergy medicine, which has kept the itching at bay. Whether I shall one day be free of these remedies remains to be seen.

Would you like to play with me? Present me with a plush toy, and I will gladly chase it; offer a game of tug-of-war, and I’ll happily oblige—just be prepared to let the queen win!

My foster mom is working on my leash manners (a queen does enjoy her free reign), and I am learning to control my royal excitement when I encounter other dogs. I’ve met a small elderly lady dog and her young male brother with no issues after a brief parallel walk! That said, I may have conflicts living with other dogs. My preference? A castle of my own to absorb all your adoration.  I would also prefer older children in my realm, as younger ones can be too unpredictable for a queen of my stature.

I am an educated monarch who knows many commands: sit, stay, come, and shake. My ideal forever home—a true palace—would be calm and predictable, without a constant parade of new visitors. Introductions should be slow and respectful, with plenty of tribute (treats). A queen must survey her lands—so daily walks are a must! They help keep my nails neat and give my curious sniffer plenty of time to explore. I would thrive with a patient human who understands strong-willed queens and is willing to use unwavering positive corrections to help me shine. 

With a little dedication, I will reward my forever family with loyalty, love, and a lifetime of royal devotion. If you’re seeking a queen to rule your heart, I am ready to take my throne.
