Anita
Age: 10 yr
Weight: 45 lb
Anita is a sweet, kind and very calm senior girl who came to NRGRR as a stray rescued from a shelter. Like any senior retriever, she loves to lay around and have her forehead and ears rubbed. She is housebroken and loves to welcome you home when you return home.
She would do best in a home with other pets to help her feel comfortable when she gets nervous. Anita has two other small dogs in her foster home and will cuddle with them and enjoy their company.
She is frightened of bad weather and thunder and will look to you for comfort. Anita has exhibited separation anxiety. Though she hasn’t destroyed anything she has been known to “redecorate” where she might relocate a few items from your sofa. All she needs is company to help reassure her.
Though Anita doesn’t really play with toys she LOVES short walks on a leash. A fenced yard is nice but certainly not necessary. She is friendly with children and other dogs she meets while on her walk.
Anita is a very easy to keep delightful girl ready to relax during her final years. Are you ready to be her fur-ever home?
Anita is available as a senior to senior adoption.
