Oh, hey there, friends! I’m Andreas, your classic Golden Retriever guy—think outgoing incredibly friendly personality with a big dose of joyous, playful goofiness.

I’m 1 ½ years old, 75 lbs of Golden charm, and I still rock that full-on puppy-like demeanor—high energy and ready for fun! The last few months have been a bit of a chill zone while I powered through heartworm treatment like the brave boy I am… but the finish line is so close now! A home with a fenced yard where I can run, play and just be my bouncy, happy self? That’s the dream!

My foster fam says I’m super lovable and sweet — perfect for almost anyone who’s up for a high-energy companion who thrives on people time, cuddles, and especially outdoor activities.  I love crashing into your space for pets and belly rubs, following you everywhere, and just being part of the family fun. That said, because of my size and personality, we don’t think I’d be the best match for homes with small children. Bigger kids who can handle a boisterous buddy? Probably golden! (And whenever the freezer opens, I’m right there for my ice cube—foster family calls it my “ice tax” and I never miss collection day!)

Quick leash update: I’m still figuring out the whole “polite walking” thing—I get so excited that I sometimes turn walks into enthusiastic adventures where I pull with classic Golden enthusiasm! But good news: I’m very trainable, I know my basic commands (sit, down, come… most of the time), and with some consistent leash practice, I’ll be your perfect walking buddy in no time.

Right now, I’m living with two other dogs. We all like being together, but they can’t always keep up with my play drive. My forever home would ideally have space for me to burn off that energy whether with dog friends who match my vibe or just lots of human playtime and activity!  I have not had direct interactions with cats.
