Albania Kiara

Weight: 41 lb

Albania Kiara is an international dog and will incur the international dog adoption fee.

Hi, my name is Kiara! My three favorite things are meal time, laying outside to watch the squirrels and birds, and getting attention from my humans. I also like to play with my foster brothers (they are a lot bigger than me, but I hold my own!) and chew on bones.

I came here all the way from Albania, and even though I was a little nervous when I first got to this country, I settled in with my foster family very quickly and I am loving my life here! I am house trained and I’m very good at sitting (especially if there’s a treat involved), but I need to work on my other commands. I love going for walks, and I do fine on a leash, unless there is a rabbit or something else I want to chase, then I will pull. I am always excited to ride in the car, and I like hanging out in new settings and meeting new people - I think everyone should pay attention to me and give me lots of scratches!

At night, I sleep on a dog bed next to my foster brothers in their beds. When my humans leave, I stay downstairs. I can be trusted to be out in the house while they are gone but I am a little mischievous and sometimes try to get into things or knock the trash can over, so they make sure there is nothing I can get into when they aren’t home.

I haven’t met very many kids, but I really liked the ones I met! I get along well with all the dogs I meet too. I hope that my forever family has a fenced in yard or a gated deck or porch, because I love to sit outside. I really like my foster brothers (two big golden retrievers) and I think it would be fun if my forever family had another dog too, but I would also do just fine as the only dog - you just have to promise to give me lots of attention!

My foster family adores me - they say I have a very sweet and cute personality. I make them laugh with all my silly antics, especially when I “hop” around when I get excited. I can’t wait to meet you!
