Jax came from humble beginnings in Albania. He lived in a side yard next to a store where an AC unit continuously dripped on him. After being surrendered to a rescue in Tirana, Jax made the courageous flight to the Carolinas during the winter storm.

This sweet, loving boy is almost 3 years old and loves to be your shadow. He is fully housebroken and has not had any accidents inside. He also has not chewed on anything besides his toys and is very trustworthy when left alone in the house. He does sometimes like to sneak a tissue from the trash can every once in a while.

Jax is truly the sweetest boy who just wants to be loved, though he can be anxious around new people coming into the house. We are working on introducing him outside of the house with a “stranger” then walking in together. Once you earn his trust, he will never leave your side.

Jax is a medium-energy dog who loves to play but also enjoys his quiet time. He loves to chew his toys. We have been working on sharing his toys, and the more he trusts us, the more he shares. Jax’s favorite “toy” of all is his blankets! He loves to roll around in them, carry them throughout the house, and sleep on them.

Since Jax’s early life was spent outdoors, we feel he would thrive in a home with a backyard where he has space to play and run. He also loves to play with other dogs, and having another dog in the home could help him build confidence and trust more easily. Jax has not been tested with cats or young children, but we feel older children would likely be a better fit for him.

Can you be Jax’s fur-ever home?!
