At 3 years old and a solid 90 pounds of love, Gilbert is a big-hearted goofball who’s just discovering how wonderful life can be. This gentle guy gets along beautifully with cats, kids, dogs, and pretty much every human he meets.

Gilbert is learning his basic commands and walks nicely on leash — unless a squirrel crosses his path (we’re working on that part ). He’s not a big fan of the crate, but he’s proven trustworthy and calm when left out in his foster house.

His perfect home would have a fenced yard, since that’s where he feels most comfortable exploring and running around with his big, happy grin. He loves spending time outside, chewing on bones, and snuggling soft toys — simple joys he’s only recently discovered.
He’s still a bit timid and will need a patient adopter who can show him the world is a safe, happy place. With reassurance and love, Gilbert will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and that signature goofy smile every single day.
