| Cruiser/Buddy |
Dear Golden Rescue,
We wanted to take a few minutes and let you know how Buddy/Crusier is doing. We adopted him just four short months ago and although we had some kinks to work out he is very much a part of our family.
We realized about two weeks after we got him why his nickname was Crusier as he decided to jump our fenced yard one day and explore our greenway. My husband Mark decided to put in an electric fence to keep our explorer under control and with some training and tweaking Buddy is doing just fine with his new limits.
We have two boys that are 6 and 2 1/2 and Buddy has taken to them. Often we find them wrestling Buddy or dressing him up and he never seems to mind. One morning Buddy decided to help himself to some french toast the boys were eating! I never realized our kitchen table could accomodate a 60 lb. dog.
Buddy came with a blankie from his foster mom and he often carries it around the house. We got him a new bed and at first he did not know what to think of it. Now we often find him napping in his new bed in the middle of the day.
Buddy even talks to us in a Beagle sort of way and it is so cute. He loves to snuggle and if you are not looking he'll sneak up in bed with you or on the couch. He is a sweet heart and we have nicknamed him Romeo. He has made many new doggie friends from our walks on our greenway. Thank you for letting us adopt such a great family dog, even with his quirks he fits right in and has brought us much happiness!

| Macey/Samantha |
I recently adopted one of the goldens from the NRGRR club and wanted to
send along a couple of pictures for your Golden Diary. The dog I adopted
was Macey/Samantha, a 7-year-old female. She is a wonderful companion to my
12-1/2-year-old male golden named Rascal.
Rascal and I lost Rascal's brother Biscuit last Sept. and it has been a joy
to welcome Sam into our home and hearts. Without even knowing it, she has
helped us heal and brought us happiness.

| | Nora | Just a note to say how much we love our Honey Bun, rescued March
16th.(formerly Nora). She has recovered completely from her very ill start
with us and is enjoying her new life and family. We are so happy to have a
home full of doggie beds, rawhides, tennis balls and dog hair once again!
We're still not sure who rescued who? We can't imagine our family without
her! She is a love and we love what you all did to bring her to us. Thanks again!

Hogan (now known as Jax) was one of Allie's puppies. We adopted him in December 2003. He loves to swim, retrieve tennis balls, and hang out with our family. He received his Canine Good Citizen certificate March 6, 2005. He is truly the perfect family dog. Thanks NRGRR!!

Formally just Sadie, now Sadie Mae Barker ~ she is the new sister of the famous Rex Barker.
She is a beautiful golden girl and is very happy when she gets to walk to Lilly's with Rex and beg for pizza.
She burps less now, but still quite loudly to everyone's amusement!
