Our rescued goldens receive, at a minimum, a vet exam, vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test and treatment (if needed), and are ultimately placed into a loving home. Some dogs require additional medical care, including hip surgeries, repairing broken bones, removing tumors, ear or eye surgeries, and a host of other surgeries. These Special Needs Dogs will remain with NRGRR for an extended period of time before moving along to their forever homes.
The following Special Needs Dogs are currently not available for adoption, but you can help them by sponsoring their medical treatment. Read about their stories, and please consider making a donation to sponsor them. You may also make a general donation to our Special Needs Fund where your gift will be used to support future Special Needs Dogs.
Please Note: Donations made for the benefit of a specific dog, but whose financial needs have been met, will be applied for the benefit of (and happily accepted!) by another special needs golden.
