Information Line
The Infoline is the backbone of the organization, and we are always excited for new volunteers to join us. The volunteers that staff the Infoline help bring dogs into the rescue and work with families interested in adopting. It is a truly rewarding experience - there is no better feeling than knowing a golden is in a warm home with lots of attention and love because of your hard work.

There are two aspects to the Infoline - dog intake and adoption applications. Both roles are vital to the rescue. Most of the work is done over the phone and through e-mail.
Dog Intake:
Our dog intake volunteers are responsible for the dogs that they bring in during their shift on the line. You are that dog's coordinator from the time it enters the rescue until the day it is adopted. It is very rewarding, as you are truly responsible for "rescuing" a golden. It is a way to be hands-on with the goldens without taking them into your own home. You work with the dog's foster to ensure they have everything they need to care for the dog. You will stay in touch with a dog's foster and the medical coordinator throughout its time in rescue.

Adoption Applications:
Adoption Application Coordinators are responsible for working with families that apply to adopt during their shift on the line. You are trained to approve adopters and once approved, you'll work with them through the adoption process. You'll help them determine which dogs would best fit their lifestyle and provide contact info for our fosters. Adoptions are another rewarding rescue experience, as you get to see a lot of happy endings!
