NRGRR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers who are dedicated to helping unwanted Golden Retrievers through rescue, rehabilitation and adoption.
NRGRR covers the eastern part of North Carolina from the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) to the coast.
Want to be in a mystery novel? David Rosenfelt, a novelist and Golden Retriever rescuer, is sponsoring this unique fundraiser where the winner’s name will be used in one of his upcoming mystery novels.

Adopt-a-thons Interested in visiting with some of our adoptable Goldens? Attend one of our Adopt-a-thons. Check out the schedule. Please note that all dogs may not be attending each adoption event. You can get information about applying to adopt at the adopt-a-thon, but you may also want to consider completing an application in advance by calling our information line 919-676-7144.
Golden on the Green Golf Tournament Do you love Goldens and Golf? Then join us for the Golden on the Green Charity Golf Tournament benefiting NRGRR on Saturday, August 29. It is Captain's Choice with a shotgun start at 1:30 pm.
Rescue Reunion - July 11, 2009 Please note the date for the Rescue Reunion. It is different from what was printed in the 2009 NRGRR calendar. Bring your furry friends out to enjoy an afternoon at the lake!
2010 Calendar Photos We are still accepting photos to be considered for the 2010 calendar. Send photos of your NRGRR dog along with his/her club name and description of the rescue story to NRGRR@hotmail.com. All photos will be considered for the calendar, merchandise, website, newsletter and other fun things!
