Our 2nd Annual Golden on the Green Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, August 23rd at chapel Hill Country Club in Chapel Hill, NC.

We hosted approximately 100 golfers for a fun-filled day of contests and prizes. We had contests on all of the par 3 holes, including the popular 50/50 circle contest. Jesse Robb and Rober Godding were the lucky golfers who landed in the inner circle. Julie Shore won closest to the pin and Trish Murphy and Andy Gavulic won longest drive. Al Davis won 2 rounds of golf in the lucky circle contest. Our putting contest was a little different this year. All golfers who chose to participate attempted a 10 foot putt, and those who made that got to attempt a 30 foot putt. Anthony Liles got to putt for 1 million dollars, but unfortunately missed it by a hair.

This year we introduced a silent auction, which raised over $800. Bids could be placed throughout the day, and during dinner bidding was closed and items were awarded. There was also a nice raffle with plenty of great prizes.

The tournament raised well over $6000 for our rescue dogs, which topped the money raised our first year.
