We could not rescue Golden Retrievers without the help, support and donations of our many sponsors and volunteers. Every summer, we take a pause from our hard work to celebrate the numerable successes of our group. This is a time for us to recognize our volunteers for every phone call, adoption, foster, mentor and countless other task they have assisted with. And most importantly, this is a time for us to see how our amazing alumni our during in their wonderful forever homes!
Never been to a Rescue Reunion?! NRGRR is famous for their unleashed dog swims, where dogs can romp, play and swim to their hearts content. We welcome all well-socialized dogs, and encourage you to bring your dogs to join in on the fun. For the dogs, there will certainly be someone that promises to throw a tennis ball, doggie ice cream will be available, and a bath to make you smell pretty (maybe that’s for your owner!) We have lunch available for the humans (and probably for the dogs!), as well as Golden Retriever and dog-related merchandise for sale. And many of our local vendors have donated great merchandise as auction and raffle items. But, best of all, you will leave with a very tired dog at the end of the day!
Our reunion is ultimately about celebrating our rescue, adopters and volunteers. We hope that you will join us for this truly fantastic event!
- Don't forget to bring cash/checks so you can purchase auction items, merchandise and raffle tickets. Credit cards not accepted.
- Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting wet and a little muddy.
- Bring some extra towels to dry your wet dogs.
- Bring your unused dog items so they can be recycled in the Swap Shop instead of thrown away.
- All of your dogs are welcome, even if they are not Golden!

Dog washers will be accepting donations to wash dogs that have been swimming in the pond and want to smell pretty before they go home! |

Directions:
- From Raleigh, take US1 south to Tryon Road East.
- Follow Tryon Road East to Kildaire Farm Road.
- Turn right onto Kildaire Farm Road.
- Follow Kildaire Farm Road 2 miles to Penny Road.
- Turn left on Penny Road.
- Go 1/2 mile to entrance to Montague's Pond @ 10301 Penny Road.
- Follow long driveway past Montague Building Office to Pond.
