NRGRR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers who are dedicated to helping unwanted Golden Retrievers through rescue, rehabilitation and adoption.
NRGRR covers the eastern part of North Carolina from the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) to the coast.
PLEASE HELP BERNIE Bernie was rescued by NRGRR from a high kill shelter, only hours before he was due to be euthanized. Bernie was suffering with malnutrition, dehydration, hunger, hair- loss, heartworms, hookworms, roundworms, a broken tooth and a growth on his foot. Adopt-a-thons Interested in visiting with some of our adoptable Goldens? Attend one of our Adopt-a-thons. Check out the schedule. Please note that all dogs may not be attending each adoption event. You can get information about applying to adopt at the adopt-a-thon, but you may also want to consider completing an application in advance by calling our information line 919-676-7144.
