When someone adopts one of our dogs, they pay an adoption fee that covers very basic medical care including an exam, shots, spay/neuter and microchip. In order to make our dogs ready for adoption and treat additional medical conditions, we need to raise money! A large portion of that money is generated by our hard-working volunteers who organize fundraisers. |
Summer says, "We need your help!"
For every event we have a core group of committee members who oversee all aspects of the event from long-term planning to day-of details. But for every committee we also have volunteers who assist with whatever they are skilled at. For these things it doesn't generally require you to put in a lot of time or attend meetings. Examples include:
 Asking your employer for a sponsorship or donation
Asking your friends and family members for a sponsorship or donation
Donating something from your own business or service (such as dog training, custom portrait, gift certificate, cabin/beach house rental, etc.)
Arranging for use of a facility with which you have a connection
Advertising to your circle of contacts to increase attendance
Arranging for catering from a restaurant you know/manage/work at

If you have any of the following skills or interests we would love to have your help:
Publicity (advertising events, creating press releases, contacting media, etc.)
Graphic design (creating logos, postcards, fliers, etc.)
Business contacts (soliciting individuals and businesses for sponsorships and donations for auctions and raffles)
Project management (managing events, committees, etc.)
We have a few formulas for fundraisers that we repeat every year, such as a wine tasting and golf tournament, but we are always looking for fresh ideas!
Working on a fundraiser is a great way to get involved with NRGRR. You'll meet lots of other volunteers and be rewarded when you create a fun event that raises lots of money to help the dogs!
