About NRGRR

Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc. (NRGRR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping unwanted Golden Retrievers through rehabilitation and adoption. Goldens enter the program from a wide variety of situations. They may be the products of broken homes, surrendered because of changing family situations or family disinterest, found as strays or dropped off at shelters.

The usual territory covered by NRGRR includes the eastern part of North Carolina from the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) to the coast.

When Goldens enter the program they are given a medical exam, neutered and then placed in foster care where they will be loved as a member of the family until a permanent home can be found.

NRGRR is managed and run by volunteers whose efforts are dedicated to preserving the breed. If you would like to help in the mission to reduce the abuse and neglect of Golden Retrievers, you can volunteer, foster, make a donation or adopt one of our wonderful dogs.
