Parade Details

NRGRR is participating in the parade this year, so come walk with us.  Bring your dog!   Everyone is welcome to participate.

  • We will walk 3/4 of a mile.  The parade will last about 45 minutes to an hour.
  • The first 50 NRGRR paraders will receive a terrifc GREEN t-shirt to wear, thanks to the generosity of Brenda Holden.
  • The parade starts at NOON, but line-up begins at 10:45 AM in the parking lot at the corner of Wilmington and Lenoir Streets.
  • Marchers must park elsewhere so consider car-pooling.
  • Let your golden strut his green stuff!  Create GREEN dressis highly encouraged for people and dogs.
  • Please bring your own clean-up bags and use them.
  • We will be handing out brochurs along the route.
  • Canned food will be collected at the lineup point for the Food Bank.
  • Parade will occur RAIN or SHINE but if it is a rainy day, we will not participate.  Notices will go out by 8:00 am if the weather is iffy.

Wearin' 'O the Green Festival

When the Parade is over the Festival Begins! The Festival is held on Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, the end of the Parade route. There will be live music and dancing. In addition, there will be a wide variety of vendor booths: Irish Organizations, Irish jewelry and other trinkets, food vendors, children's games and activities. Fun for the entire family!
